APROXIMACIÓN A LAS DEMANDAS SUBJETIVAS DE EGRESADOS/AS DE LA EDUCACIÓN TÉCNICA SUPERIOR Eduardo Beaumont Echevarría 3 Resumen Analizando un fichero que consigna la escritura de motivaciones y expectativas de egresados/ as chilenos/as de la educaci n técnica superior, este trabajo ofrece una aproximaci n a los discursos sobre la educaci n y el trabajo en Chile, en particular a lo que podríamos denominar las “demandas subjetivas” de algunos/as egresados/as. A través de un enfoque interpreta- tivo y mediante un an lisis mixto cualitativo y cuantitativo de los datos, se constata la amplia demanda de conocimientos y herramientas que ser n aplicadas en entornos laborales, pero ello resulta inseparable de otras motivaciones como el crecimiento personal o las demandas “socialmente productivas”. Se concluye proponiendo que las demandas subjetivas estudiadas revelan ciertas tensiones frente a los modos de construcci n del nivel técnico superior en Chile las que, a la vez, se perfilan como oportunidades para la superación. Abstract Through the analysis of a file that records the writing of motivations and expectations of Chilean graduates of higher technical education, this work studies discourses about education andwork in Chile, specifically what we could call the “subjective demands” of some graduate students. With an interpretive approach and through a mixed qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data, we observe a wide demand for knowledge and tools that will be applied in work scope, but this is inseparable from other motivations such as personal growth or “socially productive” demands. We conclude that the subjective demands of the graduate students reveal certain tensions with the construction of the higher technical level in Chile, which at the same time are emerging as new opportunities.
