Shcll dirty white, somcwhat orbicular, compressecl, fincly striated; upper valYc com·cx, provided with a vaultcd chamber near the back; hingc pointed, an<l ncarly terminal; sidcs near the margin irrcgularly sinous, with numerous, very !ine, racli- ating stri.:c, an<l with fine, regular, trans1·erse stri.:c ncar the hingc; under rnlvc flat, with the pcrforation rouncl, all(l ncarly closcd;. inside of a sih-ery metallic lustre; margin pro,·iclecl with fine, longitudinal stri.:c, 'the hollow vaulted chamber, which is considerably curved on one si<le, an<l scaly externally. Dia- metcr about half an inch. Found at Torbay. 10. AKOMIA STRI0LATA, Anomict striolata, Turton, 13iv., p. 233. Shell oval, somcwhat cylin<lrically convcx, an<I longituclírrnlly striate, with recurve<l beaks. Dr. Turton says this shell rcsemblcs the A. C!)limfrica, in ali respccts, "but is always marked with fine, rather remole, longi- tudinal raised lincs." Found in thc roots of Puci. l l. AK0MIA TUUULAlllS. Shell cream-white, orbicular, 11·ith the perforation of thc uncler valvc entirc ali roml<l, and forming a raised cylindrical tubc; bcak terminal; plug tenclinous. Found attached to Ftcci.
