Montagu s:iys this varicty is so strongly striatc<l, that it was by some c-onsidered a distinct spccies. He a<lds, "1 hcse werc of an inferior sizc, and covere<l with a dusky epidermis, differing in nothing but thc striro bcing more conspicuous."
