Lcngth two lincs; <liamcter onc linc. This interesting species, long considered as peculiar to England, inhabits woocly situations, ami has bcen found in various localities, namely, uear Ilristol, Excler, Lancashire, and Twizil Housc, Northumberland; in Scotland it has bccn met with in a wood al Corstorphin, ncar E<linburgh, aud at Ballau- trac, Ayrshirc, by 11:Ir. Thompson of l3elfast; who also found it in the County of Lon<londerry, lrclancl, at thc · side. of thc rircr Bann, near its junction with the ocean, also in numerous localities throughout Down and Antrim, ancl on the mountain of l3enbulben in Sligo, glcn of thc Downs, \Vicklow, and at thc lower lakc of Killarney; Mr. vV.
