Found by J~mes l\Iacdonald, E sq., adhering to stoncs n~ar high-watcr-mark, in Clcw Ilay, county of lllayo, 011 the wcst coast of ircland. ,ve have also rcceired a rnricty, which is obsolctcly sulcatecl ~pirally 011 the bocly; with the apcx a littlc more acute, and tite dcprcssion on thc npper part of the volut ions lcss con~picuous, and having a pale bull~ colourcd spi ral band on thc uppcr margin of thc bocly ami rolutions, closc to tlic suture, ,mcl tcrmiuati11g in thc apcx. This shcll is somcwhat alficd to bot h thc Turbo lc11cbros11s and labia- /11s; it clilfcrs from thc formcr in being lcss c!ongatccl, and in the body heing much lnrgcr in proportion t o lhe spire; a11CI from t hc lattcr in t ite body being less in proportion to thc spire, and in t he aperturc being greatly smallcr. 8 .
