Shell a depiessed, irrcgularly-shaped cone, attached by the base, and consisting of four uncqual, dissimilar valvcs, two largcr and two smaUcr, latcrally united by the interlocking of their <lcntatcd margins; apcrturc somcwhat trapcziform, laterally placed, nnd entirely fiUed by a bipartito operculum, onc of the picccs of which is irrcgularly quadrate, and the other nearly triangular.
