6 CENTRO CIENTÍFICO Y TECNOLÓGICO DE EXCELENCIA En 2014, el CIAE se convirtió en el primer centro en el área de ciencias sociales que obtuvo Financiamiento Basal de la Comisión Nacional de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (CONICYT). SCIENTIFIC CENTER OF EXCELLENCE In 2014, the Center for Advanced Research in Education became the first social science research center to be awarded Basal Funding by the National Comission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT). En junio de 2017, la Universidad de Chile crea el Instituto de Estudios Avanzados en Educación de la Universidad de Chile, que alberga al CIAE. In June 2017, Universidad de Chile founded the Institute for Advanced Studies in Education, of which CIAE is now part. “El CIAE se ha transformado en un referente de investigación en educación, produciendo y difundiendo conocimiento riguroso, relevante y pertinente a la realidad del país.
