I opened the Bundle and it was fevcral bags of Skins, with rcJ Earth and w hite Euth, and Soot or f'aint in a Bag; this is thc frade thcy paint thcmfelves witb ; they had fliodlones and Arrow. heads in the Bundle. I fe:irched the Bundle a.11 over to fce for Grains of Gold, but could not find any; There ware Bracc– lets of Shclls, and bits ot flicks, and braidcd Thongs, and Arrows, and Mufde-fhells, and Ar– madillo-thells, and a finall point of a ~ail in a fück for a Bodkin : Their Skins wcre pieces of Seal·sldns, and picccs of Guianacoe-skins, fcwcd rogether with finall Guts ; all very olJ and full of holcs;and fmelt of g1·eafe: Therc werc pteces of Flints made fa{l. with a green Gut, in thc iplit of a fi:ick, which they hold fo.O: to knock their Arrnw-hcads into füape: There were alfo pieces of Sticks to get fire with. This was all that was in the Bundle; it \Vas madc faíl: w¡th Leather thongs hraided round like \\'h:p cor<l, and thc Dogs ii'ere coupicJ wirh fuch firingc;: the Mufcle– fitcls are thcir Knivcs. I put all thing'i up in the Bag, and made it fafr.
