Figures 7 and 8 show the cold dope charging system at Toyo Smelter. Flux and other matenals which are transported by belt conveyor are charged froro the right side in Figure 7. The pile of twenty sheet anode scraps, imported blister copper and purchased copper scraps which are pressed lo a uniform rectan· guIar parallelepiped are charged from the left side in Figure 7 through a specially-designed chute during blowing. 3. Fugitive Gas ControJ Fugitivegas generated at the smelting area is effectivelyand perfectlycollected through each local hood. A total of 34 local hood are attached to the smelting area, as shown in Figure 9. The local hoods of the flash fumare and converter are described in Figures 10 and 11, respectively, as an exarople.
