Del océano al verso. Las caracolas de Pablo Neruda

T he Universidad de Chile is the most important higher education institution in the country. Its character —complex, public and plural— also expresses itself through the natural and cultural heritage it safekeeps. This material and immaterial repository is constituted by multiple bibliographic, photographic, artistic, documental and biological collections, as well as some edifices, among others, of significant value to the memory of the nation. For example, we can mention theCentro de Extensión Artística y Cultural (CEAC), that today shelters four cultural groups: The Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Chile, the Coro Sinfónico de la Universidad de Chile, the Ballet Nacional Chileno and the Camerata Vocal. Among the many institutions of the Universidad de Chile that safeguard our heritage we include the Archivo Central Andrés Bello, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MAC) and the Museo de Arte Popular Americano Tomás Lago (MAPA).
