Director for three terms of the School of Public Health “Salvador Allende G.”, Faculty of Medicine, Universidad de Chile (1999-2011), and Director of Strategic Development and Institutional Relations at Universidad de Chile (2014-2018). International expert and human rights activist. He is member of several national and international scientific societies. Author/editor of a dozen books, over sixty scientific articles in national and international journals, and numerous reports for international organizations. This year, he has published “Los Riesgos de la Verdad: Salud Pública y Compromiso Social” (The Risks of Truth: Public Health and Social Commitment) (Editorial Catalonia 2022). Jorge Ramírez Flores Medical Doctor . Master's Degree in Global Health from the University of California, Master and Specialist from Universidad de Chile. Currently, Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Universidad de Chile. His research focuses on mental health epidemiology, global health from a Latin American perspective, and the influence of alcohol as a determinant of health. He has published various articles in Latin American public health journals, contributed to book chapters, and participated in research on mental health, mental health diplomacy, and Covid-19. Álex Alarcón Hein PhD in Sociology. Master’s in Public and Social Policies. Head of the Global Health Program at the School of Public Health, Universidad de Chile. Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Universidad de Chile. His fields of interest focus on migration and health phenomena, the design and implementation of social policies and projects in health, and Global Health from the Latin American perspective.
