C O N C L U S I O N S Our preliminary results show that the combination and linking of inland and coastal sedimentary records in lakes allows the correlation between paleo- earthquake event deposits. In that way, a better understanding of tsunami and earthquake history and their imprints on our studied lakes. In addition, a first overview of long sediment cores, makes us expect to have access to the last ~7.5 kyrs of paleo-earthquakes in the area, an invaluable contribution to local models for assessing the risk associated with this highly seismic region.
