Leo esto cuando me embarco a Isla de Pascua por primera vez, sin estar convencido de que sea la verdadera historia de RAPA NUI. Primero llegaron los “orejas cortas” trayendo la cultura maorí. Eran los siglos XII–XIII . Un siglo más tarde llegó otro pueblo polinésico: “orejas largas”. Se hizo la guerra y los “orejas largas” fueron muertos y enterrados en el foso de IKO. I read this as I set sail for Easter Island for the first time, without being convinced that it is the true history of Rapa Nui. First, the “short-eared” people arrived, bringing Maori culture. It was the 12th - 13th centuries. A century later, another Polynesian people, the “long-eared” ones, arrived. War ensued, and the “long- eared” ones were killed and buried in the IKO pit.
