El pueblo de Chonchi se fundó en 1746. La topografía determinó sus tres niveles. El primero relacionado con el mar; el segundo, intermedio, de comercio; y el más alto para la iglesia. La traza irregular de Chonchi (la ciudad de los tres pisos) se adapta a la pendiente del cerro y al borde del mar. Desde la plaza, el plano cae hacia la costanera. La iglesia, celeste y amarillo. The town of Chonchi was founded in 1746. The topography determined its three levels. The first is related to the sea, the second to commerce, and the highest one for the church. Chonchi’s irregular layout adapts to the slope of the hill and the edge of the sea. From the square, the plan descends towards the waterfront. The church is blue and yellow.
