Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 54,358 Human resource profile for health care in the US Table 1 presents the Human Resource Profile for Healthcare in the United States (Batalova, 2020). These were the total employed workers and all health care workers in the US in 2018 based on data from the US Census Bureau’s American Community Survey. As it relates to all health care workers, there were over 9.5 million health care practitioners and those employed in a technical occupation, with 1.5 million identified as immigrant workers. There were just over an additional 5 million health care support workers, with over 1.1 million identified as immigrant workers. Besides health care te- chnologist and technicians (n = 3,265,000), Registered Nurses (n = 3,310,000) made up the largest group of all health care workers, with 512,000 identified as immigrant workers. Immigrant registered nurses represented 15.5% of the total US registered nurse population in 2018. Table 1.
