232 INTEGRATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF SPEECH THERAPY IN COMBARBALÁ COMMUNITY HOSPITAL Abstract From the beginning of the Speech Therapy the Speech Therapists have been introduced in different areas, one of them is health. Their performance has evolved according to national contingency and epidemiological. The focus of its work is on the secondary and tertiary area, while the primary health has been integrating gradually, responding to the Chilean people necessities and this has allowed the opening of the occupational field. The objective of this chapter is to visualize and describe the process of the insertion and the development of the Speech Therapy by first time in Combarbalá’s hospital, a specialized professional in the area was included in 2016, helping to make visible how the population positively perceives the treatment once problems and needs are early and comprehensively addressed.
