166 EXPERIENCE OF THE REHABILITATION TEAM OF THE CRITICAL PATIENT UNIT IN USERS WITH COVID-19 OF THE SAN JUAN DE DIOS HOSPITAL IN CURICÓ Abstract The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has profoundly impacted the regular activity of our society in all its dimensions. Worldwide, the pandemic has required governments and their health authorities to make a great effort to prevent outbreaks that negatively impact both the morbidity and mortality of the affected population, as well as aspects of social and economic life. In 2019, during the pandemic, the Curicó Hospital underwent profound changes that, in the end, were transcendental to provide an adequate response to the demand for critical beds because of the increase in infections in the province of Curicó. The challenge for the rehabilitation teams at the UPC focused on minimizing the consequences or sequelae of the complex interventions carried out within the unit. The following document describes the main functions defined for the rehabilitation team of the UPC of the Curicó Hospital in the context of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and its most representative interactions and collaborations for the approach and treatment of patients of this unit.
