Innovar y transformar desde las disciplinas: experiencias claves en la educación superior en América Latina y el Caribe 2021-2022
2 an impact on the world economy (Acevedo et al., 2015). For UNTELS , the rapid change to virtual education has represented challenges in computer infrastructure, technologi- cal tools, educational strategies and the need for a change in adaptation to virtuality by teachers and students (Alania Contreras, 2021). In consideration of the above, this research focuses on studying whether there is a significant relationship or association between HE and AR , for which the HE Inventory formulated by (Vicuña Peri, 2002), which is made up of 53 items, which provide infor- mation about the characteristics of the students with respect to HE at the time of Covid - 19, statements distributed in five areas, which are of a closed dichotomous type. 2 Method 2.1 Kind of investigation. It is a descriptive and correlational investigation; it is descriptive because it is oriented to investigate how the investigated variables are and are manifested: HE and AR. About, (Hernández Sampieri et al., 2014) specifies that it is correlational because it seeks to determine the significant relationship between the variables, HE and AR . 2.2 Research level The research level is descriptive and causal since it aims to address the causes of phys- ical or social events. (...) the importance lies in knowing why this phenomenon is hap- pening. (…) And it is more structured and researched than at other levels, (Charaja, 2018, p. 44). 2.3 Research method In the case of research, first the observation method of the research object was applied, then the analysis method was used to determine the variables and finally make infer- ences of the variables of the specific object of the research, (Hernández Sampieri et al., 2014, p. 84). 2.4 Population and sample The population is made up of 436 EPIME students corresponding to all study cycles during the 2020 - II academic year of UNTELS . The sample was processed with 100 students, simple random sampling was used to calculate the sample size to evaluate the mean of the finite population, taking into ac- count the 95% confidence level, which is equal to 1.96. (Calderon & Alzamora, 2010, p. 146). 948
