The Covid-19 pandemic has admitted the implementation of preven- tive confinement as a public health measure, which presents new challenges for our university and in particular for the professional career of electrical mechani- cal engineering ( EPIME ), which requires presence. On the other hand, academic performance is related to Study Habits, a component that allows the student's personal improvement, and is linked to all manifestations of the human being, so according to the analysis of academic performance in the last semester in the National Technological University of Lima Sur ( UNTELS ), it was possible to show a low performance of the students, since a series of factors intervene in the academic performance, as a result of the synchronous, asynchronous, virtual ses- sions, and the development of attitudinal content in competency learning, such as laboratories and practical cases of the specialty. Faced with the above, the re- search aimed to determine to what extent the relationship between study habits in times of pandemic influences academic performance. Therefore, recommen- dations are presented for teachers who currently teach their spaces in a virtual way to favor learning and fulfillment of objectives.
