The present investigation shows the results obtained in the survey ap- plied to students of the National Technical University, Guanacaste headquarters, on the flipped classroommethodology in mathematics courses. The results reflect that the students of the different mathematics courses have a positive perception of this methodology and are motivated and even consider that it helps them de- velop abilities and skills. A didactic experience has been carried out with 60 students from different mat- hematics subjects such as: Calculus I and II, Discrete Mathematics, Differential Equations, Descriptive Statistics and Inferential Statistics. The opinion regarding the academic load, motivation and skills developed is inquired about. Likewise, about the challenges they have with the methodology, the opportunities and pos- sible improvements that can be made so that the courses are much more interes- ting and learning is improved. After conducting the survey, the results obtained were analyzed using graphs and tables. These reflect that the flipped classroom methodology has helped students to investigate and get involved in the development of their self - learning. However, the methodology implies much more academic load, and the students consider that there is a lack of interest on the part of the teachers to explain and help them. This may be due to the fact that students have a more active role in the classroom, a fact that reduces tedium in teachers and their lack of interest in explaining more about the contents of the subject.
