Development of cost-effectiveness evaluations for actions already implemented Considering these elements, and facing the challenge of promoting an integral development for people, particularly the of senior population, it is necessary to install in Chile a preventive outlook in oral health, accompanied by an institutional, multidimensional and intersectoral approach to the issue. With it comes the need to make these problems visible and increase the system´s healthcare coverage.This document renders arguments in favor of diagnosis and research work, that allows to optimize and focalize resources. It argues for the formation of specialists from different disciplines related to oral health, from both technical and reflexive perspectives, seeking to contribute to improving the oral health of the senior population in our country.
